बांग्लादेश ने नेपाल को 3-1 से हराकर जीता सैफ महिला फुटबॉल का खिताब

NCR Times Sports Desk.कृष्णा रानी सरकार के दो गोल और शमसुन्नाहर जूनियर के शुरूआती गोल ने बांग्लादेश को सोमवार को काठमांडू के दशरथ स्टेडियम में अपना पहला सैफ महिला चैम्पियनशिप खिताब दिलाने में मदद की। इस जीत के साथ बांग्लादेश ने इस प्रतियोगिता में भारत के दबदबे को खत्म कर दिया, जिसे पहले मेजबान देश नेपाल ने इस टूर्नामेंट के इतिहास में पहली बार नॉकआउट किया था।

बांग्लादेश के लिए कृष्णा रानी ने 42वें मिनट में दूसरा गोल किया, शमसुन्नहर जूनियर ने 14वें मिनट में पहला गोल किया और 77वें मिनट में एक और विशेषज्ञ फिनिश के साथ बांग्लादेश की जीत सुनिश्चित की। पहले हाफ में बारिश गिले मैदान पर और भारी भीड़ के सामने 2-0 की बढ़त लेने के बाद, बांग्लादेश मेजबान टीम के जबरदस्त दबाव में आ गया, जिसने 70वें मिनट में एक जबदस्त गोल करके बढ़त को कम करने की कोशिश की। लेकिन बांग्लोदश ने 77वें मिनट में एक और विशेषज्ञ फिनिश के साथ चैंपियनशिप पर मुहर लगा दी।

नेपाल के खिलाफ अपने नौवें प्रयास में बंगाल टाइग्रेसेस की यह पहली जीत थी, जिसमें छह और दो ड्रॉ हारे थे। बांग्लादेश के राष्ट्रपति, पीएम ने सैफ महिला चैम्पियनशिप 2022 जीतने के लिए महिला फुटबॉल टीम की सराहना की।बांग्लादेश टीम की कप्तान सबीना खातून टूर्नामेंट में आठ गोल के साथ शीर्ष स्कोरर बनीं। बिना हारे चैंपियन बांग्लादेश ने टूर्नामेंट में केवल एक बार जीत हासिल की, नेपाल का एकमात्र गोल फाइनल में अनीता द्वारा किया गया।

Nepal national women’s team’s SAFF Championship woes continued after they suffered a shock 3-1 defeat against Bangladesh in the final at the Dasharath Stadium on Monday।

Srimoti Krishnarani Sarkar scored a double and Shamsunnahar was also on target as Bangladesh created history by lifting their first-ever SAFF trophy.

This is also the first occasion the sub-continental competition has got new champions in its 12-year history.

Since the inception of the biennial competition in 2010, India had won all five previous editions. The defending champions, who had succumbed to their first-ever defeat in the SAFF competition when they lost to Bangladesh 3-0 in the group stage, had crashed out of the competition after losing to Nepal 1-0 in the semi-finals.

It was also Bangladesh’s first-ever win over Nepal in all competitions.

Nepal have now reached the final of the competition five times in six editions but their hopes to lift their maiden trophy still continue.

Bangladesh have been unstoppable this edition and they showed why they were the deserving winners taking the lead in the 14th minute through Shumsunnahar.

Shumsunnahar replaced Jahan Shopna in the 10th minute and quickly impressed, cleverly bending a cross from Monika Chakma to put her side in front.

Srimoti Krishnarai furthered the advantage in the 42nd minute. Krishnarani beat the offside trap and fired past Nepal captain and goalkeeper Anjila Tumbapo Subba after good work from captain Sabina Khatun.

Coach Kumar Thapa introduced Nepal’s all-time highest scorer Sabitra Bhandari—40 goals in 41 games—after the break in search of goals and her presence was felt in front of a crowd of 15,730 as Nepal displayed a high-pressing game creating chances after chances.

And their pressure paid off as Anita Basnet reduced the deficit in the 70th smashing the back of the net with her left-footed strike after she was set up by Amisha Karki.

But Nepal’s any remaining hopes of a comeback ended when Krishnarani Sarkar pounced on a defensive effort from Nepal to smack home her second in the 77th and seal a historic win.
